Dr.Explain: A powerful piece of software that can be used to design help manuals

Any kind of product, be it digital or physical needs a straightforward, yet complete help manual, and Dr.Explain is a software that allows you to create help documentation in a simple manner.

Data can be imported from various types of files, such as TXT, HTML, DOC, CHM, RTF, HLP and XML. Also, you can use undo/redo and essential editing actions like delete, cut, copy and paste.

Dr.Explain makes it easy to give your help manual a name, setup a table of contents, add topics and reorder, rename or delete them.

Furthermore, you can insert various image files, grab screenshots, use the find and replace tool, embed hyperlinks, and format text messages by changing their font, color and alignment. The application also comes with a built-in spell checker and lets you create bulleted lists, set a status for any of your topics and preview the help manual in the primary panel using a few different output formats.

Dr.Explain’s export options make it possible to save help manuals as PDF, HTML, CHM or RTF files with the possibility to customize their size and layout.
