NeoBookDBPro provides NeoBook authors with the ability to quickly add advanced, professional database capabilities to their applications. NeoBookDBPro can be used to create and manage just about any type of database from a simple flat file address book to a complex, multi-user client-server application.

NeoBookDBPro uses ODBC and ADO technology to access a variety of database formats including Microsoft Access, MySQL, SQLite, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Paradox, dBase and more. In fact, when properly configured with the appropriate ODBC driver, NeoBookDBPro can be used to access just about any type of database system.

The appearance, formatting and placement of data is entirely customizable. Advanced reports can be designed to print mailing labels, lists, invoices, office forms complete with graphics and more. Finished reports can be previewed and printed from within your compiled NeoBook publication using live database data!

NeoBookDBPro features :

- Create custom applications that provide employees with full, limited or read-only access to corporate data. Access to tables can be restricted to protect critical data from being modified or deleted.
- Add database functionality to existing or new NeoBook projects to facilitate easy storeage and retrieval of application settings, account information and data.
- Use a database like MS Access to create a unique file format for your application. Just change the file extension from .mdb to something unique - like .zap. This will allow you to store just about any kind of data your application uses or creates without the limitations and hassle of working with plain text files. Since MS Access functionality is built into all versions of Windows, your application will work on any Windows-based PC.
- Use a database to store questions and answers for computer-based training (CBT) and quizzes. Add our NeoBookFM/FTP plug-in to automatically download new questions or upload answers to your server for grading.
- Use an encrypted databases to store proprietary or sensitive application information. For example, an application could use an encrypted database to to store account infomration such as user names and passwords.
- Create customize catalogs to inventory music, DVD, photography, postage stamp, memorabilia or other collections. The catalog database can include photos of each item, a description, value, date acquired, location, or anything else you need.
- Use a database to store source files used by your applications. For example, an application that generates web content could use a database to store a selection of clipart, page templates, JavaScript, etc. No need to update the application to add new source files - simply provide the user with a replacement database instead.
