Western Digital Data Lifeguard Diagnostics - Perform drive id, diagnostics, and repairs

Western Digital Data Lifeguard Diagnostics is a hard disk diagnostics utility capable of drive identification, diagnostics and repairs for Western Digital FireWire, EIDE and USB drives. The program can also retrieve the drive’s serial and model numbers.

Features:

- Quick Test will collect and check all the Data Lifeguard information present on the drive, quickly determining with great accuracy if a drive has any defects. Quick Test may be unavailable for old SCSI, IDE and external drives.
- Extended Test performs a thorough drive test, which can last between 30 minutes and one hour for most drives (even more for larger drives). The program may stop responding for a couple of minutes (and then continue) if a bad sector is found under Win9x/Me environments. Extended Test is a non-destructive test unless the repair function is selected when bad sectors are found.
- The Write Zeros function is capable of erasing OS and file systems (QUICK ERASE and FULL ERASE modes).
- View Test Results displays the current test results. When a new test is started the results will be overwritten.
