TrueCrypt - Free open-source disk encryption
TrueCrypt is a free and open-source program designed for on-the-fly encryption.
The program can create virtual encrypted discs within a file, encrypt a partition or the storage device itself. Through on-the-fly encryption data is encrypted or decrypted automatically, before it is loaded or saved and an encrypted volume cannot be accessed (decrypted) without the password or encryption key.
An encrypted TrueCrypt volume will be displayed as a series of random numbers and the only way you can access encrypted data is by mounting it with TrueCrypt.
