FirewallGrader is the first and only free tool for assessing firewall complexity. After comparing your firewall to hundreds of pre-analyzed firewalls, it provides suggestions on specific ways to re-structure the firewall configuration.
High complexity firewalls are likely to contain duplicated rules, policy errors and security risks which all increase the cost and effort to manage the firewall. Firewall Grader gives you an objective view of the essential complexity in your firewall so that no manual interpretation or judgement is required by the user. It gives a quick high level summary of how the firewall is designed and provides rolled-up counts of items such as the total number of service and address objects or number of deny rules.
