rReplikator provides continuous data protection. New or changed data gets replicated to another drive in an instant. Replication target may be a 2nd drive, an external drive, a USB-stick or even a server in your network.

rReplikator is watching all folders containing your data. As soon as a file changes, rReplikator will copy the file to “another place”. “Another place” might be a directory on the same hard disk the data reside on. Even better is a copy to another disk. If the data disk fails, the other disk still contains a timely copy. For sure, “another place” may be on another computer or server a network.

rReplikator mirrors all changes. If a file is renamed, the copy will be renamed as well. If a file is moved to another folder, the file will be moved in the copy as well. Renaming a file or a folder is replicated. Well, deleting files gets replicated in an instant, too.

To be harboured against accidental deletion of files and to be able to fall back to former versions of a file, rReplikator stores versions of changed data in a history folder. The target the history folder may as well reside on a separate disk or a server in a network.

All operations like copy, rename or versioning are done in the back ground and are not visible for the user (besides a flicker of the hard disk LED from time to time).
