A Backup / Synchronization Utility


The Shadow application was designed to be a Backup / Synchronization Utility. Shadow lets you define Backup-Sets of Disks, Folders and Files to copy as backups. Shadow does NOT compress or change the data being copied in any way, this means it is an EXACT copy of the original data.


Shadow features :


- Explorer-like interface with drag-and-drop support plus context sensitive popup-menus.

- You may include as many folders and files as you like, and exclude certain folders, files, or file extensions, these are then ignored during the Backup process, wildcard "*" support is provided.

- There is an option to delete the files in the destination path which are no longer valid.

- You may define Backup-Groups which may contain multiple Backup-Sets.

- After the first backup, subsequent backups will ONLY copy new and modified files which have changed since the previous backup. The archive bit is also fully supported. This backup method drastically reduces backup-time of these subsequent backups.

- Selecting "New-Folder per Backup" will create a new Backup-Folder for each new backup session.

- AutoRun version (Shado.ini) is included for unattended backups.

Shadow 2.4.2 is licensed as Freeware for the Windows operating system / platform. Shadow is provided as a free download for all software users (Freeware).
