WordNetScope is a handy, easy-to-use browser that was specially designed for SQL databases and Hibernate as Object-Relational Mapping.
Object-relational mapping is a programming technique designed to convert data between incompatible type systems in relational databases and object-oriented programming languages.
WordNetScope features :
- WordNet full Object-Relational Mapping: although the Database is Relational, the programming model follows an Object paradigm
- WordNet Entity/Pojo classes built from declarative model
- Lazy-loading of synset relations
- HQL (Hibernate Query Language)/JPA QL (Java Persistence API Query Language) support
- Supports all databases that have a functional Hibernate dialect
- Tested to work with MySql, PostgreSQL, Derby, SQLite, HSQLDB
- JPA (Java Persistence API) mode
- On-the-fly XML generation
- Cross-platform code (Java)
- Cross-platform installer
- Standard release package comes with SQLite WordNet database and ready-to-use install
