Subject Search Server Publisher's Description
SSServer lets visitors search your Web site for the information they are looking for. It's fast and easy for them to use. It's fast and easy for you to set up and maintain. And the price is right... FREE! We believe that SSServer is the easiest site-search utility available today. It installs in minutes using a standard Wizard style interface, allows you to quickly specify the directories and files to index using our File List Editor utility, and lets you choose from a selection of standard search forms for adding to your Web pages. If you select entire directories to be indexed, SSServer will automatically update the index when you add files to those directories, so that your searches will always be current and comprehensive.
Kryloff Technologies produces a line of search products, including our popular SSSuite. In order to promote the company and its search products, Kryloff Technologies is making its SSServer product available free to any Web site that wants to add site-search capabilities. The search form and reports for SSServer identify Kryloff Technologies as the company behind the product and include a small link to our Web site. That's it! Your visitors don't have to look at any ads from us or anyone else. We don't intrude on your site or draw attention away from your content.
Since it is installed on your site, you have complete control over SSServer and are not dependent on any outside services or connections to remote sites. For this reason, SSServer also can be used on Intranets where limiting outside access is a concern.

However, DownThemAll drew my curious eyes on the scene and I tried this FireFox extension. At a first glance, DownThemAll feels like other Firefox downloaders such [...] |

| Microsoft extends Windows XP once more
We may witness history, as Windows XP can become the most longevive operating system as long as Microsoft won’t have any problem to reanimate it from time to time. Actually, I’m sure Microsoft isn’t too happy about it but you can’t force Vista forever and preloaded Vista systems won’t stop a XP installation, ever. Windows [...] |
