SolidShare Firewall Publisher's Description
SolidShare Firewall secures your network, allowing you to implement your security policy by configuring a set of rules that specify which sites (IP addresses/Url or website content) and applications can be passed through the SolidShare server computer, it can also perform NAT (Network Address Translation) to share a single Internet connection. Serves as a firewall, the built-in firewall can prevent resource exposure and defend against from an attack. The 3.0 version has a built-in HTTP proxy server to provide URL cache & filter functions.
SolidShare includes the following firewall and NAT features:
Content filter. Application filter. IP address filter. Outbound access control. Inbounnd access control. (web publishing) User adminstration Cache Event log. Log Analyzer.
The NAT Router gives transparent Internet access to all computers in local network and works great with almost any protocol. Using NAT, there's no need to modify settings on each computer.
Supports most Internet applications Sharing: including DHTP, PPTP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TCP, UDP, Telnet, SMTP, POP3, NNTP, RTSP, ping, Trace Route, MSN Game Zone, Battle.net, Westwood online, FTP, Real Player, QuickTime, ICQ, Napster, IRC, pcANYWHERE, Quake II, Unreal, Kali II, DirectX, Couter-Strike, MSN Messenger, Counter-Strike WON publishing, Napster etc.
Security: powerful rules/ applications engine, very easy to set up highly secure networks, prevents resource exposure and defends against hacker attacks.
Dial on Demand: For networks with dial-up, VPN, ISDN, PPPoE or any other connection type using Windows' Remote Access Service (RAS), SolidShare Firewall can connect to the Internet every time a user places an Internet request.
