Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications is a free utility designed to verify if your copy of Windows is genuine. If your system is detected as non-genuine the tool provides guidance on how to purchase a licensed copy of Windows.

Features:

- The improved setup displays validation results as soon as the installation process is finished.
- A persistent notification image will appear over the system tray for non-genuine copies of Windows. You will be able to interact with icons underneath the image, but not with the image itself. The image will remain in the system tray until you validate your Windows copy.
- As a secondary form of notification for non-genuine Windows XP, a black desktop background will appear instead of your usual background. You can change the background to any other wallpaper but every 60 minutes your desktop will revert to black color until your copy of Windows is genuine.
