Prisma Firewall is a personal firewall for windows desktops designed for home and small office users and will provide you with a reliable solution to intrusion prevention.
The program uses multi-layered protection, filters the traffic at network packet level as well as controls the applications network access.
Prisma Firewall is a necessity for all desktop computers connected to Internet. Prisma Firewall protects your computer and personal information from intruders, data thieves, and other internet threats.
Within a private network, Prisma Firewall protects the computer from attacks of internal users.
Here are some key features of "Prisma Firewall":
Stats
- Displays information about current opened connections (tcp/udp) and historical data about your network traffic. Also, you are able to close connections (only for tcp) or kill process (only if you have the proper rights).
Intruders
- You can monitor all the machines that send/receive packets to/from you.
Filters
- You can set the access of machines that try to connect your computer by creating a rule for that specific IP. You can also create filters for IP classes, ranges and/or port ranges.
History
- Allows you to monitor the activity of applications by displaying different information about connections.
Applications
- Prisma let you manage each application internet access. You can manually Add/Edit/Remove a rule. Also, a dialog will pop-up each time an application, that is not present in your rule list, will try to access the internet.
Requirements:
- Pentium III 800Mhz;
- 8 Mb free memory;
- 3 Mb free disk space for the actual Prisma application. More free space will be needed for log files;
- 16bit 800x600 resolution is required, although the Prisma GUI looks much better under 32bit 800x600 mode;
- All available Windows Service Packs and Hot fixes should be installed prior to installing Prisma application.
Limitations:
- 27 days evaluation period
