Kerio WinRoute Firewall is a highly advanced router firewall created for large business networks offering security, flexibility and user access control. Kerio WinRoute Firewall protects corporate computers from external viruses, attacks and is capable of restricting access to websites based on their content.

Kerio WinRoute Firewall allows network administrators to perform inspections of all outgoing and incoming Internet traffic by providing detailed rule definition. The firewall enables administrators to deploy it in networks of any size and in any location through its support for DSL, wireless Internet, cable modems, ISDN and satellite.

There is a version of Kerio WinRoute Firewall with built-in McAfee security, but there are a number of other anti-virus solutions to choose from. It also offers the option to scan inbound and outbound HTTP and FTP traffic for viruses. Designed specifically for educational and corporate environments, content and web filtering capabilities allow administrators to ban access to websites with counterproductive or offensive content.

The administration console can be safely configured from anywhere on the network as it can be installed remotely. Using the Active Directory, network administrators are allowed to centrally manage and share information on user accounts as well as network resources.
