packVol is a sophisticated load planning software able to find the best possible arrangement of “rectangular” packages in one or more containers.


The application has no limits on the number of containers, or on the total number of different package items, or on the total number of packages it can handle, which are limited only by the available memory.


The program, thanks to proprietary algorithms, developed in many years of research, is extremely fast and can optimize space utilization for load plans with thousands of packages in fractions of a second on a common personal computer.


packVol has the unique feature to let you work in two distinct modes, automatic and manual:


- In automatic mode the load plan is evaluated by the internal optimizer of the program;

- In manual mode the load plan is defined by the User, thanks to a 3D graphical environment having the most common editing functionalities: select, copy, paste, cut, undo, redo, zoom, pane, etc..

packVol Lite features :


- Ability to define or modify a load plan in manual mode

- Possibility of increasing the number of packages in current solution ("Start from Current")

- Internal database to store data of packages and containers

- Import data from Excel file in native format (xls)

- Vertical ordering of the load plan according to the stacking indices, max stacking, predefined positions

- Longitudinal ordering of the load plan according to the destination and/or to axial sections

- Priority rule for the packages

- Ability to check the stability of each package, and to control the position of the center of mass of load plan

- Control of maximum load weight of each container

- Control of linear density and average load on container floor

- Unusable section of the container

- Creation of the load plan report in pdf format for each container


Requirements:


- 233 MHz processor or higher;

- 64 MB RAM memory;

- Video card with 16 bit color depth or higher. A screen resolution of 1024x768 or higher is recommended. Resolutions lower than 1024x768 are not supported;

- 3D graphics acceleration is not required but highly recommended;

- 5 MB of free space on hard disk.
