Shadows software was designed to be a program used to design sundials. Shadows can be used by everybody without any required technical skills. Shadows will calculate everything and print the drawing according the user's preferences.

Shadows is acclaimed by thousands of users around the world and by numbers of professional sundial makers and astronomers. Shadows has been awarded by the French Astronomy Society (Societe Astronomique de France).

Note:
Shadows in its basic level is free.
It comes with a powerful set of functions and a full documentation. If you want to discover further functions, you can acquire a license of Shadows Expert or Shadows Pro.

- Analemmatic sundials
- Cylindrical sundials
- Ephemeris tables
- Drawing of italic and babylonic hours
- Insertion of image frames on the sundial
- Exportation of data and images
- Drawing of the construction layout of a sundial
- Simulation of the roof's shadow on the sundial
- Change of orientation and reclination of a sundial
- Tool for the determination of the wall's declination
- Direction rose
