3D Network Visualization Application using the Java3D API.
V15N is an accessible and handy Java-based continuation of the work done on vrmlNet.
Unlike vrmlNet, which used the Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML), V15N uses the Java 3D API for rendering a 3D visualization of a network.
The current version discovers and visualizes only ISO Communications Protocols Layer 3, or the IP layer, of a network. Three main classes comprise V15N: Explorer, Visualizer, and Console.
The name V15N is an abbreviation with a play on letters and numbers twist. If you stretch your imagination, you may see an abbreviation for Visual Network (where V15 = Visual, and N = Network). The author pronounces it (viz' - n).
