NetStumbler - Detects Wireless Local Area Networks
NetStumbler is a free utility that detects Wireless Local Area Networks using 802.11b/a/g. NetStumbler can be very useful if you are using a WLAN and it is not functioning properly or you don’t have a signal.
Features:
- Checks if your network is setup properly.
- Capable of detecting locations with poor coverage in your Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN).
- Capable of detecting networks that could be causing interference with your network.
- Capable of detecting unauthorized “rogue” access points present in your workspace.
- Helps aim directional antennas for long-haul WLAN links.
- Recreational use for WarDriving.
