StrongDC - Peer-to-peer client for the DirectConnect networks

StrongDC++ is a free file sharing client for the DirectConnect networks, designed as a modified version of DC++ which is based on the DirectConnect clone.

StrongDC++ is an open source program, therefore anyone is free to download the source code and modify it.

DirectConnect file sharing is not restricted or limited but it is highly recommended that you share non-copyrighted material only.

StrongDC++ features:

Safe segmented downloading

Benefit of increased download speed by downloading one file from multiple sources simultaneously. Segmented downloading is also much safer that classical downloading.

Partial file sharing
You can download and upload parts of files which improves download speed and file network expansion.

Download/Upload speed limiter
Configure your bandwidth allocation to suit your personal web usage habits. Be aware that download speed limit depends on upload speed limit which is configurable by setting the amount of opened slots/hubs.

Automatic slow downloads disconnecting
StrongDC++ disconnects sources with download speed under a certain value for a certain amount of time. If the download speed goes too low during the segmented download, the source is disconnected no matter the set value, to prevent unnecessary slot usage.

Customization
You can set sounds for various actions, change colors or icons, show pop-up balloons, emoticons and more.

StrongDC 2.42 is licensed as Freeware for the Windows operating system / platform. StrongDC is provided as a free download for all software users (Freeware).
