The program has been designed as common program for surveillance hybrid platforms running all together with wireless and wired Internet webcams, Television-cards, capture cards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web interface with the same appearance and controls on the local and apart computers. Users view MPEG-4 coded video and have complete control of the program through network that surveillance workstation can be operated without screen, keyboard, and mouse connected. Software`s modular composition drastically improves reliability because all components work as autonomous software. If one part stops working, other components continue running. For example if the `capture` module freezes, `watchdog` restarts it right away that users don`t notice anything because they are viewing video through a `playback` module. The software does `repeated` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never appears. The recording can be non-stop or it can be triggered by motion, human face detection, or by schedule. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance pc as well as on remote workstation using Web interface. The software performs simultaneous video playback for event examination from multiple webcams concurrently. Also recorded data can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded files can be encrypted and password protected.
