TVants - Media broadcast software

TVants is free P2PTV software that allows watching and broadcasting TV channels from and to the program’s broadcast server.

P2PTV (peer-to-peer) technology works in the following manner: when a user is watching a video stream (downloading it) he is also uploading it simultaneously to other users, thus contributing to the overall bandwidth.

TVants enables users to broadcast their personal channels by entering an MMS, RSTP or HTTP stream address into the program’s broadcast servers, but also provides access to a huge list of Asian channels and international ones such as BBCWorld, CNN and many more.

TVants gained a good share of its popularity by providing a free solution for watching international football league matches, otherwise available only on pay-per-view channels in many countries.

English support is poor through the install and setup process which fortunately resumes at clicking the “OK” button.
