PassAid - Helps you simultaneously change passwords

Just make an effort to synchronize passwords once and then always use this application for subsequent password changes.


PassAid helps you simultaneously change an account's passwords in multiple Oracle databases and thus help keep your passwords synchronized. It is most helpful when the passwords periodically expire and need to be changed.


Keeping your Oracle passwords synchronized will save you time and aggravation. It will ensure that you never have a problem remembering passwords and that your Oracle accounts are never locked due to your attempts to log on with invalid passwords.


Just make an effort to synchronize passwords once and then always use PassAid for subsequent password changes.


You can create one or more persistent database groups that you will then be able to select for password change. You can use the same database groups with other BS Utilities tools, like MuSQL.


You can even designate a default set of databases or database groups as well as a default user ID to be used when PassAid is started.


This way, next time you use PassAid, all you have to do to change your account passwords in all selected databases is to provide the current password and a new password.


Requirements:


- Oracle client software version 8.1or later must be installed on the computer (either "normal" or "instant" client installation);

- Oracle net service names for all databases in which you want to execute your statements and scripts must be configured, for example, in a local tnsnames.ora file;

- You must know account names (user IDs) and current passwords with which to connect to the databases; the accounts must have the 'connect' database privilege (granted through a role or directly) to allow connection and password change.

PassAid 2.76 is licensed as Freeware for the Windows operating system / platform. PassAid is provided as a free download for all software users (Freeware).
