YMulti Messenger (formerly Y! Multi Messenger) - Run multiple instances of Yahoo! Messenger

Stay online on multiple Yahoo! Messenger ID’s at the same time, using Yahoo Multi Messenger.

This patch application is perfect if you use more than one Yahoo Messenger ID or if you share the computer with other people and need to run multiple instances of YM on the same PC.

You only need to install this once; no “update prompt” will bother you. Yahoo Multi Messenger Patch applies a safe modification to the Windows registry so you can run multiple ID’s on Yahoo! Messenger.

Just install Yahoo Multi Messenger, use it once to modify the Windows registry value and then you can use the normal Yahoo! Messenger icon to open multiple instances of it.

The “Automatically Sign In” option may need to be unchecked to avoid getting the “You have been logged out as you were logged in on a different machine" message.

The registry editing script is absolutely safe, it will only change a value to allow you to run multiple instances of Yahoo! Messenger, and everything else remains untouched.

Yahoo Multi Messenger v8 and v9 instructions:
The patch application of version 8 is NOT version specific and will work with all versions of Yahoo! Messenger 8. Just run the Y! Multi Messenger.exe file, select to enable or disable the polygamy patch and it will remain like that until changed again.

Installation instructions:
We advise you to read the included documentation before installing. Make sure to select the install path for Yahoo Multi Messenger to be the same folder where Yahoo! Messenger is installed. If you run the Yahoo Multi Messenger setup wizard and choose the wrong path you will probably receive dll (driver file) errors.

Upgrading/Downgrading Instructions:
If you want to upgrade or downgrade the version of Yahoo! Messenger please delete the Yahoo Multi Messenger.exe file from the folder before you uninstall and up/downgrade Yahoo! Messenger. After that, if you still want Multi Messenger, all you have to do is install the program for your current YM version in the same folder. If you don’t delete Yahoo Multi Messenger.exe file before up/downgrading Yahoo! Messenger it may not get overwritten and cause errors.
