Mortal Kombat - fighting game series by Midway Games
Mortal Kombat is the first game from the series, first released in 1992. Initially developed by Midway Games, Mortal Kombat was later picked up by Acclaim Entertainment and then returned to Midway.
The first Mortal Kombat game takes place in Earthrealm. Here, 7 different warriors participate in a fighting tournament with the ultimate prize of winning the freedom of Earthrealm. From this group of warriors some of the most popular ones are Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade and Liu Kang. The Thunder God Raiden helped the warriors of Earthrealm win, and Liu Kang became the champion of Mortal Kombat.
