Stardock DeskScapes is a desktop customization program that enables Windows users to have stylish animated wallpapers.

The animated wallpapers that Stardock DeskScapes contains are also called dreams and have the .dream file extention. However, the program also supports WMV and MPEG video files as animations. Moreover, you can take static wallpapers, apply animations and save them in the .dream format. These are also known as hybrid dreams. There are more than 40 effects that you can use to create a hybrid dream using regular, static wallpaper, such as black & white, inverted, sepia, blur, night vision, animated snow and many others!

Full support for multiple monitors is provided. Stardock DeskScapes lets you use different wallpapers on each of your monitors or stretch one across all of them. Give your wallpaper a different vibe by changing its color with just a few clicks. The program provides easy recoloring options as it detects the main colors in an image and all you have to do is decide which colors you want to change and move the slider bar to get a new color scheme.

Use the random wallpaper option and never get bored of your desktop again. A new wallpaper can be displayed every day, hour, 10 minutes and even 30 seconds.
