- image is the topmost window if visible
- image smoothly vanishes when a mouse pointer is over it
- image immediately vanishes on right mouse button click over it
- image remains completely transparent while the cursor is over the image
- image quietly appears when the mouse pointer is elsewhere on the screen
- it can be instantly hidden in the system tray using the hotkey and then restored at any time
- it can be configured to go semitransparent ("ghost" mode)
