Allows you to play RealMedia files without having to install RealPlayer

Real Alternative allows you to play RealMedia files without having to install RealPlayer. RealAudio (.ra .rpm), RealVideo (.rm .ram .rmvb), RealText (.rt), and ReadPix (.rp) formats are supportted.

The Lite version does not include Media Player Classic.

Real Alternative features:

Required for playing RealMedia movies and audio.

Allows you to view RealMedia content that is embedded in a webpage.
This is installed together with the RealMedia codecs.

Allows you to view RealMedia content that is embedded in a webpage.
- RealMedia DirectShow splitter [version 1.0.1.1]
Allows you to play RealMedia files in all DirectShow enabled players. Without this filter RealMedia files can only be played in Media Player Classic. This filter only works with files that are on your harddrive. It does NOT work with streaming content. Therefore it is highly recommended to use Media Player Classic, because MPC does support streaming content.


Limitations:

- RealMedia .smi and .smil files are not fully supported. Only the first part of a clip will be played. Luckily these two file formats are not used very often.

Real Alternative Lite 2.0.2 is licensed as Freeware for the Windows operating system / platform. Real Alternative Lite is provided as a free download for all software users (Freeware).
