AviSynth - Powerful tool for video post-production

AviSynth is a free application for video post-production, allowing you to edit and process videos using a rich set of features. The program also functions as a frameserver, enabling instant and very fast editing without requiring temporary files.

AviSynth is based on a script system that allows advanced non-linear editing and it doesn’t contain a GUI. The lack of a graphical user interface can seem overly complicated and unproductive but the non-linear editing is infact an optimal solution for reliable and precise project management.

The scripting language is simple but it allows the user to fully control the program and create complex filters from basic operations to produce a wide variety of useful, personalized effects.
