MusiGenesis - a program for creating music


MusiGenesis is a software for creating music. The program adds random musical elements to your track one at a time, while you decide whether to keep or delete each addition.


By keeping the parts you like and deleting the things that don't sound good, you will quickly create a unique piece of music custom-tailored to your personal musical tastes.


And you don't need to know anything about music or rhythm to create music with MusiGenesis. All you need to know is what you like and what you don't like


Once you've created your song, you can export it either as a WAV file (for burning onto an Audio CD) or as a high quality MP3. Play your songs for your friends - they won't believe you made them!

- Incredibly Easy to Use: Choose an instrument from a convenient list. Let MusiGenesis randomly place a few at a time. Keep the ones you like, delete the ones you don't like. In seconds, you've "grown" your own new music. It's that simple and easy!

- Requires No Knowledge of Music or Rhythm: All you need to know is what you like and what you don't like. That's it!

- Large Selection of Instruments: Most synthesizers come with a small number of pre-set sounds, but MusiGenesis has numerous built-in percussion instruments, including congas, kick drums, hi-hats, snares and many more, as well as a large selection of tuned instruments such as guitars, basses, pianos, strings and many more. Plus, the ability to import WAV files (*.wav) and Tuned WAV files (*.twv) as instruments means you won't be stuck listening to the same sounds over and over again.

- Infinite Variety: MusiGenesis' unique and easy way of setting up a musical composition's basic structure gives you 4 different time signatures to choose from, and the tempo of your composition can range from 60 to 320 bpm (beats-per-minute). Combined with the effectively unlimited number of instruments, you will never create the same piece of music twice. Once you've created the basic unit of your song, you can create an endless number of mixes of your song. A "mix" is an arrangement of your song where the various elements (tracks and patterns) are turned on or off as the song plays. You can then export these mixes either as WAV files (for burning onto Audio CDs) or as MP3 files.

- Autokey Feature: To help keep your musical compositions sounding good, MusiGenesis automatically figures out what key your song is in (based on the notes you're already kept) and makes sure that any newly-added notes stay in the same key.

- Small File Size: MusiGenesis' proprietary file format (*.mg1) needs at most only a couple of megabytes to save your composition. It won't clutter your hard drive at all!

- Easy Exporting: Once you've finished your composition, you can export it as a WAV file (for burning onto an Audio-CD) or as a high-quality MP3 file with the click of a button.

- Reverb: MusiGenesis comes with three built-in reverb algorithms that add rich, 3-D echoes to your music.
