CheckBeat - Checkbox-based drum machine and sample player.

CheckBeat is a virtual drum machine designed for quickly creating simple beats. It can be used like a fancy metronome and is handy when you need to create a backing beat for a drummer-less jam session.

Programming a beat is as simple as clicking a few checkboxes. It plays sound using .wav files, so you can use the built-in drum sounds, or any sound you can dream of. You can set the note length (check resolution) of the checkboxes and can set the tempo pretty much any number of beats per minute. You can also use less than the full 16 checkboxes in the pattern if you want to create a beat in a different time signature like 5/4 or 9/8.

CheckBeat was written using XAudio2, so you will need to have the Microsoft DirectX runtime installed.

CheckBeat 3 is licensed as Freeware for the Windows operating system / platform. CheckBeat is provided as a free download for all software users (Freeware).
