It extracts data digitally from an Audio CD


CDex extracts the data digitally - not through the soundcard - from an Audio CD. This is generally called a CD Ripper or a CDDA utility.


The resulting audio file can be a plain WAV file (useful for making compilation audio CDs) or the ripped audio data can be compressed using an audio encoder.


Portable CDex features:

Requirements:


- Adaptec ASPI for Win32 Manager (for Windows 95/95/ME )

- Digital Audio Extracting capable CD drive

- Intel x386 or compatible processor
